ICRIS Design began in a simple way: from our desire to better understand form, material, and process. What started as a personal exploration of design and digital fabrication gradually evolved into a family studio.

I work in IT, where precision and systems thinking are part of my daily routine. In the studio, that digital discipline meets the physical side of things — material, texture, light, weight, and how an object behaves over time. Together with my wife, Roxana, I began building objects that not only look good, but feel intentional and balanced.

Surprisingly, much of our philosophy comes from small moments: the way our twin daughters, Sara and Mara, arrange their toys, their instinct for symmetry, repetition, and structure — without even realizing it. It made us understand that visual calm is not an aesthetic luxury, but a deeper need. This is where our interest in rhythm, proportion, and forms that bring quiet into a space comes from.

Our studio moves at a pace that reflects who we are. We do not work in a rush, and we do not chase trends. We prefer small batches, handling each piece, adjusting it, checking it. Every object is designed, 3D printed, and finished here in Romania, and the process allows us to remain present at every stage. We choose materials we trust and processes we understand in depth — because we want things made well, not made quickly.

ICRIS is not about mass production.

It is about making fewer things — better.
