Plant based Polymer
ICRIS Design products are made using PLA, a plant-based polymer made from renewable plant sources such as corn starch, sugarcane, or cassava.
Chosen for its calm, matte surface and its ability to hold precise geometry, PLA allows form to remain clear and understated.
Colour is integral to the material itself — never applied, never concealed.
PLA is recyclable under appropriate conditions. Offcuts and failed prints are collected and reprocessed whenever possible, extending the material’s life beyond a single use.
Subtle variations in tone and texture are inherent to the process and part of each piece’s character.
Natural Cork
Select ICRIS Design creations incorporate natural cork.
Harvested from the bark of cork oak trees, cork is a renewable material valued for its warmth, tactility, and acoustic softness.
It introduces contrast — between rigid and flexible, smooth and porous, precise and organic.
Cork is biodegradable and recyclable.
Natural variations in grain and colour are expected and embraced.
Process
All pieces are produced using additive manufacturing, built layer by layer.
This method leaves visible traces: fine lines, gentle transitions, moments where the tool reveals itself.
These marks are not removed.
They are a record of how each piece came into being. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Care
Designed for interior use.
Avoid heat, prolonged sunlight, and abrasive cleaning.
Wipe gently with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth.
Creations intended to hold water are specified individually.
All others should be treated as dry-use pieces.
